Show and Tell…the secret to my sales strategy

Chris Shaw (l) and Tim Miles (r) of Westbus join Jane Phillips on the Pride & Joy stand at Coach and Bus UK 2017.

I can't believe that was our 16th year exhibiting at the annual Coach and Bus live trade shows!

This annual outing has to be the best way to connect and catch up with customers and to grow our presence in the market. We are a permanent fixture and I think customers not only look forward to seeing us, but expect to see us there.

We don't rely upon the traditional brochure or the website for our sales, instead we use the exhibition as a show and tell opportunity. We bring a rail of stock samples to give bus and coach operators the chance to see it, try it and discuss their requirements with me personally.

I have dressed coach and bus drivers for many years and can bring my experience of designing uniforms into every interaction I have on the stand. I think people appreciate that I don't supply lots of different industries, that my niche is passenger transport. This dedicated approach has led to umpteen recommendations and we have been very busy as a result of the kind words that come from our satisfied customers.

Watch this space for our next post about how we approached the Westbus rebrand project.
